Launch of Ciclovia Belfast 2017
Ciclovia 2017 has officially launched! We were delighted to be joined by the Lord Mayor, Cllr Nuala McAllister, her partner Sam and her young son Finn at Belfast City Hall this week. Our key partners and supporters also joined us for the launch which included a photocall and video. Make sure you check these out. It was great to see such a range of people at the launch. All ages, abilities and some lovely bikes!
As we head towards the event, 24th September, we plan to keep you up to date with all the latest news. This will include road closures and activities at the two hubs, Botanic Gardens and City Hall, as well as along the route. Just follow our blog and Ciclovia Belfast on Facebook and Twitter.
Last year Ciclovia Belfast welcomed hundreds of cyclists into the heart of Belfast City. Our aim this year is to increase participation and we need your help to do this! Help us spread the word but importantly come along and bring your friends and family with you.
Over the past two years Ciclovia Belfast has proved to be a fantastic day out for everyone. It brings people together and encourages everyone to get out and enjoy a cycle free route in the heart of Belfast City. Throughout the event we provide activities with the aim of encouraging participants to try something new as well as pick up some tips to keep you safe whilst out on your bike. We are focussed on achieving this aim again this year.
Should you need a bike on the day you can always pick one up a Belfast Bike from any of their docks located along the Ciclovia Belfast Route. It’s simple and easy to use.
We look forward to seeing you, your friends, family and bike at Ciclovia Belfast on Sunday 24th September.
